Well technically my weekend isn’t over yet, seeing as how I’ve only got 2 days of work this week.

On Saturday I felt pretty much like a dead fish. Taking a nap just made me feel worse.

On Sunday it was crazy windy, so Sang Boon and I decided to go out and try to fly a kite at the Brisbane Powerhouse. Turns out that my kite was massing a piece, so it would shoot up in the air, do a 180 degree turn and plant itself in the ground.

It took me a few attempts at flying the kite to finally realise that the piece was missing. Despite that, I decided to give it one last go which resulted in the kite flying into a patch of rose bushes. I was quite tempted to just leave the kite and go, but decided that I could reuse some of the parts when I build my own kite.

I would say that Sunday afternoon / evening was the saving grace for the whole weekend.

The Quantum of Solace as it turns out was much better than I expected. It’s probably the most graphically stylish Bond movie to date. It was interesting how in some instances country visuals were quite similar to the opening titles in Heroes.

Also some very cool, but somewhat impractical looking interfaces, probably all done up by the crazy geniuses at MK12
