So today I went about upgrading my iPhone to firmware 3.0, but in doing so I got the shock of my life.

The first few times I kept getting an error (13) message and my phone was temporarily bricked.

This can’t be happening I thought, so I went to Google for help, but no info was to be found. So after some mucking around, I realised what the problem was: My USB ports were kind of buggy. I therefore decided to remove the portable hard drive I had attached to my free port, try the upgrade again. This time it worked! Saved from the pain of a bricked phone.

Thanks Sam for the firmware. Great stuff. So far so good, but I can’t wait till the final version comes out!

On another note, I feel like buying a new computer. What a piece of crap.
